Michael,

So young, so comprehensive
So talented, so intensive
Out of the shadow, into the light
One snap with his fingers, the ultimate hight

Enjoying that one simple dance
Took it upon him, took the chance
one of the many gifts to the world
The stage was home, the home he swirled

Tho, stakes were higher than could understood
By that, the price was paid, a precious childhood
That light, a consequence
All ever wanted to do, was love, create and dance

Larger than life, gave it all
Took it, broke him, still stood tall
Continued to spread the message, healing the earth
Despite the pain, the heart felt it was worth

Overflowing, endless, honest love
You, me, everybody he didn’t even know of
Wanted to be loved, wanted to be heard
What received was beyond absurd

“I don’t sing it if i don’t mean it”, he once said
Read between the lines, hear what’s in his head
Words so real and upfront
What more could a person want

Searching for friendship, searching the one
Beyond the walls of fame, it couldn’t be done
The perfect life in so many eyes
Yet nobody saw the hurt and cries

Caring, nurturing, loving above own needs
Helping, creating, giving until it bleeds
Hunting, breaking, aiming til there was no more
Dishonored, violated, trashed for a score

Abandoned, empty, never to go back
Memories are left, scars inflicted, an attack
Draining a life cause of fortune and fame
Destroying a life cause he has a name

Aquited, wounded, scarred for life
Changed, lost, heartbroken when battled the strife
Stepping back into the light, back home
One more time, once again at this massive dome

Believing that it could be done, believing this is it
Out with a bang, out tight knit
Now at home, he’s doing what he does best
The legend will live on, the name will always linger, the greatest entertainer alive,
but the lonely man underneath has finally found his rest.
